Donna Jean Wheeler
 has been with us since April 15, 2002, having spent the previous 24 years as church secretary at East Tenth Street Church of Christ where her husband, Clyde P. Wheeler, ministered for over 44 years.

They have been married for 59 years and have one son, Terry P. Wheeler, two grandchildren, Laura Beth Pair and Collin Wheeler, and two great-granchildren, Carter and Finley Grace Pair. She is a graduate of Orlando (Florida) High School, she attended Atlanta Christian College, East Point, Georgia, prior to her marriage & subsequent relocation to Roanoke Rapids in 1952. Her greatest joy has been teaching Sunday School for over 60 years and is now thrilled to be team-teaching an adult class with her son, Terry. She considers her position at Hockaday's an extension of ministry as she endeavors to comfort hurting people.
