Victor Verl Richardson, Sr.

Victor Verl Richardson, Sr., 72 passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Richardson was born December 4, 1938 in Nash County, North Carolina to the late Floyd Allen Richardson and Almedia Lynch Richardson.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Vincent Jay Richardson, Sr.

Mr. Richardson was a member of Faith Baptist Missionary Church.  He loved fishing, hunting and working on cars.  Mr. Richardson was also a volunteer firefighter and fire policeman.  He was an Elder Minister in his church in Norfolk, VA.

Mr. Richardson was survived by his wife: Elma Lillian Aberts Richardson of the home; His children: Allen Richardson and wife Juri of Naples, Fl., Amanda Richardson of Fairfax, VA and Victor Richardson, Jr. of Hollister; his brothers and sisters: Connie Tucker and husband Rudolph of Norfolk, VA, Ella Richardson and Mittie Lynch of Hollister, NC, Tyler Richardson of Norfolk, VA, John Richardson, Roy Richardson and wife Kay, Diane Matthews and husband George, and Sheila Escobar all of Lancaster, PA, Russell Richardson and wife Sherry of Ocala, Fl, Claudette Looker of Naples, Fl; grandchildren: Ell and Ava Richardson, Veneace Lober, Lindsay Sensenig, Tierra Newport, Jay Michael Richardson, Vincent Jay Richardson, Jr. and Devon Mosher; great grandchild; Jalissa Henriquez.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June, 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Baptist Missionary Church with Pastor Linwood Richardson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends form 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service and other times at the home.

Aunt Elma, Victor, Allan & Amanda my deepest sympothy on the loss of your dad. I am sorry I could not get down for the service, I tried but work would not let me off. Uncle Vic ment alot to me and my family and we will miss him daerly. I will be down with my mom as soon as I can to see you. Uncle Vic ,thanks for the memories.
