Sarah Katherine Little Everhart

Sarah Katherine Little Everhart, 71, died peacefully at her home on Lake Gaston, Thursday, June 17, 2010.

Mrs. Everhart was born October 28, 1938 in Richmond County, NC to the late James Leak Little and Lula Garris Little.  She was a church secretary where she served the First Baptist Church in Kernersville, NC and Ogden Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Leslie Allen, Jr. and two brothers, James Woodrow Little and William Patrick Little.

 

Surviving are her husband, Leslie A. Everhart of the home; one son, Jamie Everhart of Gibsonville, NC; two daughters, Lisa Bloodworth and husband Pat of Henrico, NC and Joni Everhart of Roan Mountain, TN; one brother, George Little of Rockingham, NC; three sisters, Clara Whitehead of Memphis, TN, Betty Lou Garris and husband Jerry of Rockingham, NC and Nancy Averitte of Hamlet, NC.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Patrick Bloodworth, and Kristen Cox and husband Steven of Grimesland, NC.

 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Richmond County Memorial Park, Rockingham, NC.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to:

Alzheimer’s Association Eastern North Carolina Chapter, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 220, Raleigh, NC  27605-1351 and/or Community Home Care & Hospice, 112 Long Cir., Roanoke Rapids, NC  27870.

Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC is handling arrangements.
