Evy Cartwright Cahoon, 91, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Halifax Regional Medical Center. Theodore Irving Gearhart, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Guardian Care in Roanoke Rapids. Naomi Walker Baird, 96, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at her home. Joshua Luke Green, 26, of Roanoke Rapids, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Halifax Regional Medical Center. Nellie Evans Powell, 81, of Guardian Care passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011. Mamie Lee Patton, 90, of Enfield, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Breckenridge Retirement Center in Rocky Mount. Willie Mack Shaw, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, left his temporary home to go to his permanent home in heaven on October 26, 2011. Robert Daniel Blanton, Jr., 68, of 1716 Macon Price Road died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at home. Blanche Johnson Shell, 90, died Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Liberty Commons in Weldon. Richard Douglas Andleton, 74 of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Halifax Regional Medical Center. Doris Kathleen Williams, 81, of 420 Jefferson Street, died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at home. Lila Bell Arp Clements, 80, died October 15, 2011 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Weldon, NC.

Edna Scott Mitchell, 90, of Laurel Glen Apartments, died Tuesday, September, 20, 2011, at her home. Richard Aubry Harlow, 59, of 852 U. S. Brandon Daniel Jenkins, 28, of Littleton, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Halifax Regional Medical Center. Barbara Spivey Walker, 75, formerly of 1230 E. 9th Street, Roanoke Rapids, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Guardian Care of Scotland Neck. Vera “Vivian” Gladys Van Praagh Draper, 88, of Cary, formerly of Weldon, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Wake Medical Center. Mrs. Carolyn Liles Smith, 70, passed away Tuesday, September 5, at her home in Cary, North Carolina. Christine Worrell Taylor Stephenson, 86, of Weldon, died on Monday, September 5, 2011 at her home after an extended illness. At approximately 9:40 PM on Thursday, September 1st, Larry Shaw moved from Smith Church Rd. to his brand new home in heaven, and knowing he’s no longer suffering from the pain of cancer or the cares of this life, the family will share with friends and extended family in a Celebration of Larry’s Life to be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6th, at Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church in Roanoke Rapids.
