Michael Wayne Davis

Michael Wayne Davis, 47, of 85 Mobley Street, Roanoke Rapids, died Sunday, March 28, 2010.

 

 

Mr. Davis was a kind hearted person who would help anybody.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Lee Davis and his stepfather, F. C. Butler.

He is survived by his  wife, Terri Davis, of Littleton, his mother, Elaine Smith of Randolph, Virginia, his children: Crystal Turner and Catherine Turner of Roanoke Rapids, Michael Turner of Hawaii, and Michelle Davis, of St. Augustine, Florida; his brothers: Tim Davis of Roanoke Rapids and Daniel Butler of Wilmington; his sisters: Susan Kovach of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Shelby Davis of Atlanta, Georgia, and Patty Butler Fischer, of Petersburg, Virginia; grandchildren: Skylar, Amanda, Jason, and Dale Jr., and nieces and nephews: Jordan and Carly Kovach, and Henry Fisher.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 2,2010, at 7:00 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service conducted by Reverend Rick Gaskins.

The family will receive friends after the service.

me and mike used to be neighbors, he was so kind. a very friendly man. he was always there for you to help out in anyway possible. always a smile on his face and never a dull moment. he will truly be missed.

I will always remember Mike's smile. He was so much fun to be around. God speed in finding the man that took Mike's life. Justice will be done. RIP my friend, you will be missed

Our prayers go out to Mike's family that justice will be served in his horrific passing. He sill be missed by many, and we all have such great memories. RIP Mike

Mike and I were always best friends in High School. I will always remember our wild times we had. He was someone you could always depend on for help and friendship. Mike, myself and my wife Sue took many rides in the BLUE FORD FAULCON! Mike will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Condolences to Mike's family. What a tragic end to such a wonderfully nice person. Mike was always friendly and always had a smile. He will be fondly remembered by many. Prayers are lifted up for his family and loved ones. RIP Mike! You are missed!

mike and i went to HCC and were in the automotive class together. he was always very helpful and a nice person to be around. we had alot of fun times together there. he will truely be missed. "Poorboys Garage" lives on.

Mike and I go way back as friends. We would hang out at Thad's when we were teenagers. Even though we lead separate lives, there was never a time when I would see him that he did not have a smile on his face and was always friendly. He will always be fondly remembered.
