Luther Bernice Aycock, Jr.

Luther Bernice Aycock, Jr. , 65, of 2468 Bowers Road, Littleton, N. C. died Sunday, January 24, 2010, at his home. 

 

Mr. Aycock was a good, loving husband, father, Papa, and friend to everybody.  He was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church and loved hunting, fishing and cooking and would help anybody who needed help.  He was retired from Champion International and Rightmyer Machine Rentals.

He was born October 13, 1944, to the late Luther Bernice Aycock, Sr. and Edith Critcher Aycock, and was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law: Lisa Smith and Chris Smith.

Mr. Aycock is survived by his wife, Barbara V. Aycock; his daughters: Tracy Council and husband, Dale, of Emporia, Virginia; Tammy West and her husband, Steve, of Littleton; Tonya Aycock and Dusty Holmquist, of Roanoke Rapids; his brother: Mike Aycock and Greta Glover, of Littleton; his grandchildren: Ashley West, Lisa Rightmyer, Brittney Rightmyer, Staci Rightmyer, and Valorie Holmquist; his sisters: Helen Harwood and husband, Cliff, of Wilson, and Barbara Clarke and husband, Mike, of Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, conducted by Rev. Clifford Harwood, II, and Rev. Stan Lewis.  Burial will follow at the home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Janury 26, 2010 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the “Bernice Aycock Memorial Fund” c/o Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, P. O. Box 698, Roanoke Rapids, N. C. 27870.
