Linda Robertson Burris

Linda Robertson Burris, 52, of 38 Victory Lane, Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at her home.

 

 

She was a very special mother, daughter, and sister, who was very loving, caring and giving.  She loved      her dog, Harley, a  Pekinese, and she loved flowers.

She was born May 13, 1957, to the late Dan Shelton Robertson and Retha Harper Robertson Pilgreen. In addition to her father she was predeceased by a step-sister: Shirley Pilgreen and a nephew: Eddie Pilgreen.

She is survived by her parents, Retha and B. R. Pilgreen, of Roanoke Rapids; her daughter: Christinia Nicole Burris, of Roanoke Rapids, her sisters: Deidra Robertson Blanton of Roanoke Rapids and Shondra Alyse Robertson of Raleigh, her step-brothers: Michael Ray Pilgreen and wife, Diane, of Tarboro, Douglas Lynn Pilgreen and Jimmy Earl Pilgreen and wife, Janet, of Roanoke Rapids; her uncles: Alvin Harper and wife Vicky, Timmy Hasty and wife Retha, and their daughter, Elizabeth  all of Roanoke Rapids, her cousin: Mark Harper and wife Tiffany,her niece, Tiffany Michelle Blanton of Greensboro, and special nieces and nephews: Casey Pilgreen, William and Danny Pilgreen, David and Daniel Pilgreen.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 18, 2010, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service at 3:00 P.M. conducted by Rev. Fred Carraway and Kenneth Brantley.  Burial will follow in the Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and other times at the home of her mother, Retha Pilgreen, 131 Easton Street, Roanoke Rapids.

I wish I had made the service. I did not find out about it until late Sunday the 18th. My heart goes out to all the family members and friends. She has always been in my heart.
