Linda Ann Crawley

Linda Ann Crawley, 67, of 335 Hawkins Chapel Rd., Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

 

Linda Ann was born on March 22, 1943 to Junius Walter Crawley and Frances Tharrington Crawley.

She was preceded in death by her twin, Faye Marie Crawley, and sister, Julia “Junie” Louise Crawley.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Deborah C. Barrow of Aurelian Springs and Patricia C. Powell, and her husband, Dave Powell of Roanoke Rapids. She is also survived by her nieces, Meagan Elizabeth Barrow and Julya Marie Powell and a nephew, John Walter Powell and lifelong friend, Peggy Liles Calhoun and her husband, John and son, Drew.

The family will receive friends from 5-6:30, Sunday evening, August 29 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids, which is handling the arrangements and other times at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Tabor Methodist Church with Pastor Sidney Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

My thoughts and prayers are with Linda Ann's family. You must hold comfort in the fact that she will suffer no more and is in a better place guarding over all those she loves.

Linda was one of the sweetest and most caring people I have ever known. She will truly be missed. My heart goes out to all of you during this sad time. May you be comforted by Gods love and the promise of the resurrection.

Our sincere condolences to you all. Linda Ann will be sorrowly missed and never forgotten. Her loving and caring ways and always thinking of others before herself, will never be replaced. Linda Ann is in God's hands now. May Linda Ann Rest in Peace.
