Lettie Mae Price Wood

Lettie Mae Price Wood, 93, of 305 E. 14th Street, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Guardian Care of Roanoke Rapids.

 

 

Mrs. Wood was born  September 23, 1916, to the late Monroe Price and Daisy Mae Ezzell Price.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Alton Ray Price.

She is survived by her husband, William Herman Wood; her sons: Ben F. Hughes, Jr. of  Roanoke Rapids, Paul Ray Hughes of Spring Hope, and Charles E. Hughes  of Roanoke Rapids; her daughters: Barbara Jean McGuire of Dunn, Virginia L. Johnson of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Linda F. Strike of Bluff City, Tennessee, and Dorothy Mae Mercer of Roanoke Rapids; one brother: Rodney Price of Goldsboro; two sisters: Ruth Culbreth and Naomi Sue Withers; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 11 A.M. at Cedarwood Cemetery conducted by Rev. Randy Martin.
