He loved his friends and family, was always willing to help and found good in everybody. He would do anything for you ; loved God ; adored his mother and took care of her.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Green, his grandmother, Dot Griffin, and grandfather, Sonny Green.
Surviving are his mother and step-father: Karen and Billy Tanner, of Roanoke Rapids; his brothers and sisters: Joie Appleton, of Michigan; Jeb Green, Job Green and Faith Taylor, of Roanoke Rapids; his step-brothers and sister: Shannon Golden and Lacey Tanner of Roanoke Rapids, and Michael Tanner of Bass, N. C.; his aunts and uncles: Charlotte Rodwell (J.B.); Ann Allsbrook (Buzzy); Hilda Jenkins (James), and Sylvia Jenkins (Wayne); Chuck Schrock (Paula); Randy Griffin (Kathy), and Pee Wee Griffin (Lela); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. conducted by the Rev. D. A. Leonard. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
