John Robert "Bobby" Garner, Sr.

Littleton,  North Carolina

John Robert “Bobby” Garner, Sr. died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Hampton Manor in Gaston, North Carolina.

Mr. Garner was an Army veteran and volunteer for the Coast Guard Emergency Services.  He owned and operated Bobby’s Barber Shop for 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Cooke Garner; his sons: Randy Scott Garner, Sr. of Fremont, N. C.; Rocky Garner of Youngsville, N. C. and Steve Walice Garner of Littleton; his brother: Ben Garner and his sister: Audrey Lou Garner Allen ; his grandchildren: Randy Scott Garner, Jr.,  Stephanie Nicole Garner, Cassandra Lynn Garner, Christopher Steve Garner, and Nicholas Robert Garner; his great-grandchildren: Dillian Garner, Alexandria Scott Garner, Savanna and Jada Outland.

Graveside services will be held  Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Massey Family Cemetery in Virginia with Rev. Keith Thomason officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 noon at Hockaday Funeral &  Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements.
