Irma Dianna Williams Pearson

Irma Dianna Williams Pearson, 68, died Friday, March 25, 2011 in Durham Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Pearson was born in Halifax County May 12, 1942 to the late Eddie Wilson Williams and Daphnea Inell Daughtry Williams.  She was a homemaker and, along with her daughter, loved raising Dachshunds.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, William and Gertrude Pearson.

Mrs. Pearson is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Vaiden Pearson of the home; one son, Eddie Pearson of Roanoke Rapids; one daughter, Joy Pearson of Roanoke Rapids, and two sisters, Daphnea Thompson and husband, Bernard, of Roanoke Rapids and Debra Chambers of Roanoke Rapids.   Also surviving are her special children, Patooty Cheyenne Pearson and Tickles Olani Pearson and her dachshunds, Molly, Jake, and Liesel Lou, and her best friend of sixty-two years, Bertha Floyd of Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Monday, March 28th from 7-8:30 PM and all other times at 249 Fairlane Dr., Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home’s chapel Tuesday, March 29th at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Bane Angles with interment following in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made DUMC, 2100 Erwin Rd., Durham, NC 27710.

I knew Dianne as my Mother-in-law years ago. I could never have asked for a better one. I'm thankful for the opportunity to have been a part of her family. It's awful to see a loved one get sick and them to lose them.My preayers are with you all.
