Eva Joy Allen

Eva Joy Allen passed away peacefully at her home on January 31, 2012 at the age of 81.

 

She was a native of Roanoke Rapids and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Philmon J. Allen and her granddaughter, Jennifer Allen. She is survived by her son David Allen and wife Marie of St. George Island, Florida; daughter Joni Vincent and husband Jamie of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joshua Allen, Hillary Vincent, Ashley Freuler and David Watts; along with a special great, great nephew Christopher Grant.

 

Friends and family will be received from 6:30pm to 8pm at Hockaday Funeral Home on Thursday February 2, 2012. Burial will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Crestview Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to congregate there at 1pm. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Eva will be held following the burial at Harvest Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2pm.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made, in Eva’s memory, to Harvest Temple, Post Office Box 173, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870; where she worshipped for 60 years.
