Edwina Victoria Clay Taylor

Edwina Victoria Clay Taylor, 54, of 10713 Maple Ridge Drive, Spotsylvania, Virginia, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. 

Mrs. Taylor was born October 8, 1955, to the late Vester Clay and Virgie Slade Clay who survives. She was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Clay.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David E. Taylor, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, her children: Steven Wilkins, of Ladysmith, Virginia, , Stephanie Haney and husband, Brandon, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, David Taylor, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Michelle Book, of Clover, South Carolina, and Stephanie Blanton, of Chicago, Illinois, her brother, Frankie Clay and wife, Robin, and her sister, Jennifer Norton and husband, Bruce, of Roanoke Rapids, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  A memorial service will be held at New Testament Christian Church on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. conducted by Dale Morris, Minister.  The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 5:30 to 7:00 P.m., and other times at the home of her mother at 33 Henry Street, Roanoke Rapids, N. C.  Memorial gifts may be made to New Testament Christian Church, 615 Jackson Street, Roanoke Rapids, N. C. 27870.  Online condolences may be made to www.hockadayfs.com.

Our lives are all made better for having known you, Vicki. Thank you for including us in your journey this last year, and I believe each one of us have realized what hope and faith truly means by sharing the ups and downs with you. We all have God's promise of eternal life, and we will meet again..Comfort and love to all the family and friends. We love you all..Dave, Aunt Virgie, Jen..and the rest of the family..
