Debra Kaye Bowen DiAngelo

Debra Kaye Bowen DiAngelo, 49, died at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.

She was born September 28, 1961 in Whiteville, NC to the late Robert Bowen and Bessie Davis Bowen.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son: Daniel DiAngelo; two brothers: George Norwood, Jr. and James V. “Jimmy” Norwood.

Mrs. DiAngelo is survived by two sons: Stephen Gilfillan of Roanoke Rapids, Michael David Poplin; three daughters: Patricia LeAnn Perry and her husband Aaron of Piney Flats, TN; Deborah Michelle Barnes and her husband Chris of Rocky Mount, NC; three brothers: Curtis Eugene Norwood, Steve Burnette and his wife Macy, Robert Bowen and his wife Linda all of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters Brenda Harris of Rocky Mount and Vicky Johnson and her husband Richard of Gaston.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Russ Collins officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service.  The family will receive at their homes at other times.
