He was a long-time member of East Tenth Street Church of Christ, and was employed in the garment business for 25 years, and a self-employed sewing machine repair businessman for 36 years.
He was born to the late James Walton Hudson and Ida Daniels Hudson on May 1, 1928. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Nelda Keesee; a brother, Jimmy Hudson, and a nephew, Danny Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Allen Hudson; two sons: Jerry Hudson and wife, Sandra, of Roanoke Rapids, and Jeffrey Kim Hudson and wife, Susan, of Gaston; one brother, Dale Hudson and wife, Jean, of Gallatin, Tennessee; one sister, Myrna Williams and husband, Carlyle, of Mechanicsville, Virginia; grandchildren: Steve Keesee and wife, Amanda; Renee Chalker and husband, Larry, Amy Forte and husband, Mike, Tiffany Radford; great-grandchildren: Aaron Chalker, Aletasue Keesee, Dillon Wallace, Austin Wallace, Cody Wallace, Brianna Radford.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 11:00 A. M. with Dave Chapman, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

so sorry to hear about Mr. Hudson. I didn't know until I saw it in the local paper. Carol Baird lost her dad december 8. Herbert died in March. I have lost alot of my family this year too. I know it is hard to lose someone so close to you. If there is anything I can do for you'll just let me know. I am in the same place.
